Panamanian tourism is currently demonstrating an increasingly healthy growth, with the strong presence of Panama’s Pavilion at the International Tourism Fair in Berlin, the world’s leading travel trade show, which will be held from 7-11 March 2012.
The whole variety of travelling is present at ITB Berlin: Destinations, tour operators, booking systems, carriers, hotels and all other suppliers.
Panama participates through the Tourism Authority of Panama (ATP), along with 18 businessmen representing more than 35 hotels, tour operators, and travel agencies from across the country in order to reach some business contacts and, consequently, increase European tourists’ interest in Panama.
188 countries are participating at this tourism fair, which is expecting the attendance of more than 200,000 visitors and approximately 7,000 journalists from 94 countries worldwide. Among the products that are being offered by the Panamanian delegation are: Travel Insurance, Stop Over, Atlapa Convention Center’s free promotional offer, and airlines connectivity from Europe to Tocuman.
General Administrator of the ATP, Salo Shamah will meeting with journalists and tour operators worldwide. “At the fair in Berlin, we will also show our folklore and indigenous ethnic groups. It is very important the picture perceived by the attendees of the private sector’s products and our promotion as a tourist destination.
